We bought the bicycle buggy in Cheapo Depot, and managed to squeeze it into the boot of the car for the trip down to the Cape; I had to hire a bike because mine had been stolen in Jacksonville, but Claire rode her cheap clunker, a veteran of our trip down the Intracoastal and more conventional return to the New England.

We went the weekend after Labour Day to avoid the crowds and high-season prices, and the weather and relative quiet made for a perfect weekend. Bicycling along the old rail track started us reminiscing about earlier trips with friends and without children - we felt lucky to have been able to enjoy the Cape from both perspectives.
